UND Faculty can
put books and other print materials
at the Library. These materials
are "on reserve". Students
check out the materials using
their library card and can use
them in the library for a short
period of time, usually 2 hours.
Class reserves
are available at the Access Services
Desk, 2nd floor, West - see
map. To request something
on reserve, you need to know its
reserve item number.
Electronic reserves
can be accessed online via Eres.
Your instructor
must give you a password to view
reserve items in Eres. For more
information, review the instructions
for accessing electronic reserves.
To find the reserve
number for the item you need,
please search the ODIN
Library Catalog: Reserves.
You can search for reserves by:
- All fields - keywords for: professor, title, course [name], dept
- Title - words from the title of the item on reserve
- Course number - exact name, e.g. HIST593 (no space)
- Course [name] - words from name of course
- Department - the Department the class is taught in
- Instructor - last name of instructor

Once you have
the reserve item number, go to
the Access Services Desk, 2nd
floor, West - see
map - and give the number
to library staff. They will check
it out to you for use in the Library.
