The Gordon Erickson Music Library is the most extensive music library
in North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota. The library houses a large
collection of sound recordings, musical scores, reserve, and reference
materials.
Gifts from KFJM public radio, faculty and other donors have
resulted in a collection of more than 8,000 LP recordings representing
music of all styles and periods, as well as 800+ tape cassettes/CDs
with recordings of UND recitals. The Gordon Erickson collection
of orchestral and operatic scores and parts is a valuable resource
for students and faculty alike. A generous endowment from the
estate of the late Edna Ullyot of Langdon has provided for the
continued development and expansion of the score and CD recording
holdings of the Music Library. We currently have more than 1600
CDs in addition to more than 5000 gifted from Northern Lights Public
Radio.
The library is part of UND's Department
of Music.
