The Chester Fritz Library is the
largest library in the state of North Dakota
and is the major research resource for the
University of North Dakota and the Upper
Midwest region. Supporting more than 60
master's and doctoral degree programs at
UND, the Chester Fritz Library provides
services to more than 11,000 students and
nearly 600 faculty members. The Chester
Fritz Library is centrally located on the
UND campus. Collegiate Gothic in style,
the Library building is a campus landmark,
constructed in 1960. Its stately 82-foot
tower stands as an inspiration to all who
seek wisdom and knowledge. |

As the University of North Dakota begins
the 21st Century, the campus is alive with
activity. UND is pulsing with energy that
comes from a dedicated faculty who are teaching
and conducting important research and from
students investigating exciting fields of
study. In the New Millenium, the University
of North Dakota will continue to educate
people, discover new ideas, develop new
economic initiatives, and train expert professionals.
The Chester Fritz Library is an important
part of UND's future, and the Library
