Organized in 1910, Pi Lambda Theta is a national honor and professional association for women in education. The Tau Chapter was organized at the University of North Dakota in 1925.
The Pi Lambda Theta, Tau Chapter Records consist of a scrapbook containing materials relating to the Tau Chapter and the national organization. Tau Chapter materials include alumni newsletters (1947- 1967), programs and membership lists (1951-1978), newspaper clippings (1955-1965), bylaws (1976) and a photograph (1979). National organization materials include Officer’s Handbook (1947), Book of Ceremonies (1947), constitution and bylaws (1955) and Pi Lambda Theta songs.
