INTRODUCTION
ACQUISITION: This addition to the Eliot Glassheim Papers was
deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Greg Vetter on June 22,
2005 (Acc.#2005-2790).
ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the
Department of Special Collections.
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
This addition to the Eliot Glassheim Papers consists of various papers,
memos, and letters regarding his service on the Grand Forks City Council. Much
of the content deals with various aspects of the Flood of '97. This includes
letters and memos to both Eliot Glassheim and Mayor Pat Owens, as well as
papers from various committees that were assembled to deal with the Flood and
its effects on the city of Grand Forks. There are many various papers from the
Office of Urban Development regarding response, recovery, and protection
against the Flood and any future floods. There is also a folder containing
pictures and papers regarding the Falconer family of Grand Forks County; the
connection to Eliot Glassheim is unknown.
