ACQUISITION: The addition to the N. Johanna Kildahl Papers was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Paul Kannowski in 1985 (Acc.#86-1467).

ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The addition to the N. Johanna Kildahl Papers contains an essay known as "Reminiscences", a personal history of homesteader life on the Dakota prairie of the 1880s. Day to day life is described along with significant events of the time. Her description of prairie life gives a clear and personal view of life as a farm child. An essay entitled "Gratitude" and a personal letter complete the addition.
