INTRODUCTION

ACQUISITION: This addition to the Bjarne Male Chorus Records was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection. The material was received along with books from the Honve House, and transferred in the Bjarne Male Chorus Records (Acc.#2006-2847).

ACCESS: Available for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the Bjarne Male Chorus Records dates from 1912, and consists of a souvenir album titled Norwegian Singers' Association of America 11 th Biennial Sangerfest. The Sangerfest was held in Fargo , North Dakota , July 12-14, 1912 . The Bjarne Singing Society of Grand Forks, North Dakota, took part in the event. A brief introduction of L. K. Hassel, the group's director, and a short history of the group is found on page 22, and a photograph of sixteen members is on page 23. The end of the album consists of photographs and descriptions of farms and points of interest in and around Fargo and Moorhead , Minnesota .
