ACQUISITION: This addition to the Kate Richards O'Hare Papers was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection on February 24, 1986 (Acc.#86-1433). Most of the material was copied from originals in National Archives in Washington, D.C..

This addition to the Kate Richards O'Hare Papers consists of photocopied material relating to her trial and imprisonment. Material outlining her activities in the years immediately following her release is also included. Attorney's files from 1917-1922 , O'Hare's address to the Court and the sentence of the Court are included. Copies of Federal Bureau of Investigation reports from 1921 and minutes of a conference of the Attorney General regarding commutation of sentences are included. Two secondary source materials are included: a 1985 article about the life of O'Hare from an issue of the International Socialist Review, and a photocopy of a 1917 book entitled The Truth about the O'Hare Case, written by W.E. Zeuch
