ACQUISITION: This addition to the Edward and Elmer T. Lian Papers was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Sandy Slater, Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the Edward and Elmer T. Lian Papers consists of: an article about Elmer Lian from the April 2, 1995, edition of the Grand Forks Herald, and two manuscripts written by Lian: American Air Force Pilot, Prisoner of War: Germany–World War II and A True Story of One Man, One Crew, and One Plane, in One of the Great Air Battles Over “Fortress Europe.” Both of these manuscripts appear earlier in the collection, but the format of those included here is different. American Air Force Pilot contains new photocopied photographs, while A True Story is presented in a smaller size (5.75 x 8.5 inches).
