INTRODUCTION

ACQUISITION: This addition to the Dagne Olsen Papers was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Doug Olsen, Grand Forks, North Dakota, in November 2005 (Acc. # 2005-2797).

ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the Dagne Olsen Papers consists of 20 scrapbooks. The scrapbooks contain correspondence, newspaper articles and photographs regarding political campaigns, legislative sessions and political conventions. One scrapbook is dedicated to Olsen's trip to the White House to meet President Ronald Reagan in 1984. Also included is one scrapbook regarding Olsen's Woman of the Year award from Beta Sigma Phi in 1978, while three other scrapbooks regard Association for Retarded Citizens, the National Association of Developmental Disabilities Councils and the Presidents Committee on Mental Retardation. The scrapbooks have been arranged chronologically, with the undated ones placed at the end.
