This addition to the Frank Wenstrom Papers consists of a variety of newspaper clippings, correspondence, photographs, and other documents. It includes, among other items, the honorary Doctor of Laws diploma which the University of North Dakota conferred upon Wenstrom in 1990; a series of documents pertaining to the correspondence between Wenstrom and Dr. Gordon Palmer of the "Christian Patriotism Hour" radio program during the early 1960s; papers pertaining to Wenstrom's involvement in the Order of the Eastern Star; as well as documents relating to Wenestrom's involvement in the North Dakota state constitutional convention in 1971. Furthermore, this addition encompasses a small scrapbook that has been preserved whole and the contents of a larger scrapbook that has been disassembled for more compact storage. Six large binders, designated "A" through "F," each containing a large volume of assorted papers have likewise been separated into folders to conserve space.

Five especially large items were separated and placed in an oversized storage
box (Box 6). They are: 1) A personalized plaque featuring the Great Seal of the
State of North Dakota that was signed by persons in attendance at the Frank
Wenstrom Appreciation Night on November 16, 1991; 2) a certificate of citation
from the United States Treasury Department, awarded to Frank Wenstrom on March
10, 1964 in recognition of his service as chairman of the Williams County
Savings Bonds Volunteers; 3) an official White House photograph showing
Wenstrom shaking hands with President Richard Nixon, taken February 23, 1971;
4) an undated photograph of Wenstrom speaking before a microphone, possibly
taken during the 1971 North Dakota constitutional convention; and 5) a
certificate awarded to Mary Esther (Pickett) Wenstrom by the Sesquicentennial
Commission of Hamilton County, Indiana, in honor of her ancestor, Harmon D.
Stanley, who settled there in 1854.
