This addition to the Glinda Crawford Papers documents a 1998 presentation given at the University of North Dakota by Chief Arvol Looking Horse. Looking Horse was a Native American spiritual leader and world renowned speaker on environmental issues. Crawford invited him to speak and made the arrangements. Materials include Crawfords final report on the presentation, newspaper clippings from the Grand Forks Herald and UND's Dakota Student, the basic text of Looking Horses speech, a printed copy of an e-mail message that Crawford sent to UND faculty and a bookmark commemorating the event. A 1995 article from Yoga Journal, entitled "Yours Truly From Indian Country," examines the controversy of teaching Native religion to non-Native people.
