INTRODUCTION

ACQUISITION: This addition to the North Dakota China Painters Guild Records was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Marcella Melsted, Edinberg, North Dakota, on June 12, 2004 (Acc.#2003-2654).

ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the North Dakota China Painters Guild Records consists of the Guild's meeting minutes dating from February 1987 to December 1992, as well as a newspaper clipping about the Guild, and two scrapbooks. The older of the two scrapbooks has a green cover, and appears to cover a period spanning from the late fifties / early 1960s all the way up to the early to mid 1980s. It contains a vast assortment of Guild-related memorabilia, including newspaper clippings, photographs, business cards, personal notes, itineraries, programs, etc. It also contains a variety of loose documents such as newspaper clippings and meeting minutes wedged between various pages. The newer and larger of the two scrapbooks has a white cover, and contains materials from the period 1986-1993. Like the green scrapbook, it contains primarily newspaper clippings and photographs, with an assortment of event programs and other materials thrown in as well. It also contains some loose documents wedged in between its pages.
