ACQUISITION: This addition to the A.L. Hanson Papers was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Louise Spaeth Morris on August 4, 1993 (Acc.#93-1916) and in February 2005 (Acc.#2005-2752).
ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.
This addition to the A.L. Hanson Papers dates from 1885, 1964, 1965, 1993, and 2005. Included is a certified copy of the Articles of Incorporation for the Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro, North Dakota, dated 1885. A.L. Hanson was identified in the document as being one of the three original trustees of the church. Also included is correspondence from 1964 and 1965 regarding how G. Howard Spaeth, A.L. Hanson's son-in-law, came into possession of the document, as well as Louise Spaeth Morris's 1993 letter to the Department of Special Collections depositing the document in the A.L. Hanson Papers.
Also included are two documents composed by Louise Spaeth Morris. "Albert L. Hanson [1854-1938]: A Biographical Sketch, His Personal Papers, and the Papers Covering the Death of His Father, Hans Hanson" is nineteen pages in length, and was written in January 2005. This document was co-authored with Robert B. Morris. In February 2005, Louise Spaeth Morris also composed a single page document entitled "Identification of Persons Mentioned in the UND Library 'A.L. Hanson Papers' Collection."
