The North Dakota Book Collection strives to acquire and preserve the published heritage of the State. The Collection documents the ethnic heritage and culture of Native American peoples of the region, as well as immigrants who settled here. Town histories, county heritage books and church jubilee books are included, as well as city directories, monographs and novels. The Collection contains over 28,000 books, 8,300 state documents and 160 serials that describe all aspects of the North Dakota experience. The Collection also contains items published by North Dakota authors and University of North Dakota faculty and staff. |
