The use of any manuscript collection as a genealogical resource is often appropriate, especially if the collection provides a significant association with a particular ancestor. The Department of Special Collections houses a number of manuscript collections that offer broader genealogical searching opportunities. Church and school records, for instance, or collections that contain biographical or other information for a number of individuals. These collections are listed below with links to their inventories.
